M2 Black is a square-shaped screenprinted canvas representing the darkest side of global meme warfare. Here layers of hundreds of propaganda-fueled memes are desaturated to black silhouettes, printed on top of one another until their message is fully abstracted. The total eclipse into darkness, communicates a dual meaning.  It illustrates the death and human suffering caused when manipulating  people to rally for war.  But it can also be read as a message of hope, as all detail from each meme’s disinformation is suffocated by the excessive layered images — their intention can be silenced.
